About

Hi, I’m Christina. I’m a multi-award-winning plant-based entrepreneur, recipe developer, food and travel writer, and cookbook author.

In 2018, I adopted a plant-based lifestyle. Over the following years, I immersed myself in learning how to harness the remarkable health benefits this way of living can offer.

I was able to overcome chronic gut and blood sugar issues, and became so passionate about this journey that I felt compelled to share what I had learned with others. All of this and more is documented in my book, How To Eat More Plants.

Plant-Based Entrepreneur & Recipe Developer

Prior to adopting a plant-based diet, I worked as a professional recipe developer for the American kitchen appliance company Anova, which led to a publishing contract for my first book. A second edition was later released, and the book was translated into Italian.

From there, I co-opened several restaurants where I developed the menus and recipes. I then founded VeganReady, a plant-based food manufacturing company in Thailand. VeganReady produces frozen meat alternatives and ready-made meals for leading supermarkets, hotels, and restaurants, and has been honoured with numerous industry awards.

Food & Lifestyle Writer

I have had the pleasure of working as a professional food and lifestyle writer for 15 years. My projects have taken me around the globe, and I’ve lived in Hong Kong, Thailand, the UK, and Australia.

I’ve contributed to a diverse range of national and international publications, including The Times (UK), Time Out Magazine (Melbourne, Hong Kong and Dubai), Broadsheet (Sydney and Melbourne) and Nourish Plant-Based Living (Australia).

In 2013 I founded an online magazine called The Great Aussie Bite (The GAB), for which I led a team of 60 writers across Australia. During this time, I created food and travel content for Australian state tourism, including Destination Phillip Island Regional Tourism Board and South Australian Tourism Commission. I was also honored to be interviewed about my work on radio and in other media.

Meaningful Initiatives

Being involved in meaningful initiatives is an important part of my life. I have had the privilege of dedicating my time towards, and holding fundraisers for projects such as Charlie’s Children’s Charity, Samui Elephant Sanctuary, Pariah Dog Sanctuary and Trash Hero. I was proud to be on the founding board of Project Gen Z in Australia, where we travelled to Cambodia to teach entrepreneurial skills to young Cambodians from vulnerable communities. I have spent time in South Africa volunteering as a wildlife photographer and conservationist for Green Vision, and in 2023 I completed a Wildlife Conservation course with the aim to focus more of my efforts in this direction going forward.

I’m British by nationality but was born and raised in Hong Kong. Since then, I’ve spent several years living in both the UK and Australia, along with 12 years in Thailand.

Now back in Australia, my partner and I—along with our three dogs—are embracing life on the road in our caravan as we explore this beautiful country.
