About Me
Hi, I’m Christina. I’m a multi-award-winning plant-based entrepreneur, recipe developer, food and travel writer, and cookbook author.
In 2018, I adopted a plant-based lifestyle. Over the following years, I immersed myself in learning how to harness the remarkable health benefits this way of living can offer.
Through my dedicated research and personal experimentation, I was able to overcome chronic gut issues and a blood sugar disorder. I became so passionate about this journey that I felt compelled to share what I had learned with others.
My new book, How To Feel Amazing Eating Plants: Plant-Based Nutrition, Gut Health and Balanced Blood Sugar, With 100 Nutrient-Dense, High-Raw, Healthy Vegan Recipes, is set to be published at the end of 2025—watch this space!
After establishing and operating several restaurants where I developed the menus and recipes, I founded VeganReady, a plant-based food manufacturing company in Thailand. VeganReady produces frozen meat alternatives and ready-made meals for leading supermarkets, hotels, and restaurants, and has been honoured with numerous industry awards.
In 2017, prior to adopting a plant-based diet, I authored The Sous Vide Kitchen. A second edition was later released, Sous Vide Cooking Made Simple, and it was also translated into Italian (under the title Sotto Vuoto).
I have had the pleasure of working as a professional writer for 15 years. My projects have taken me around the globe, and I’ve lived in Hong Kong, Thailand, the UK, and Australia.
I’ve have contributed to a diverse range of national and international publications, including The Times Newspaper (UK), Time Out Magazine (Melbourne, Hong Kong and Dubai), Broadsheet (Sydney and Melbourne), Nourish Plant-Based Living (Australia), Traveler’s Digest (Hong Kong), Wining & Dining (Thailand), GRAM Magazine (Australia), CHICoverdose (International), Samui Holiday Magazine (Thailand), Fah Thai Magazine (Singapore), Langton’s Wine Magazine (Australia), View London (UK), The London Magazine (UK), Hopper (US), Thalo (US), A Magazine (AU), African Impact (South Africa), Destination Weddings (UK) and many more.
In 2013 I founded the online magazine The Great Aussie Bite (The GAB), for which I led a team of 60 writers across Australia. The GAB featured small businesses offering unique and meaningful experiences all over the country. I was honoured to be featured in Startup Daily, and interviewed on Eagle Waves Radio, MyMP Radio and by The League of Extraordinary Women for my work.
I am proud to have contributed content to Australian state tourism. I wrote articles for Destination Phillip Island featuring key tourist attractions such as the iconic Phillip Island Penguin Parade, as well as exciting food and wine venues. I also had the privilege of being involved in South Australia Tourism’s Tasting Australia initiative, shining a light on chefs, wine-makers and unique produce from the state.
Being involved in meaningful initiatives is an important part of my life. I have had the privilege of dedicating my time towards, and holding fundraisers for projects such as Charlie’s Children’s Charity, Samui Elephant Sanctuary, Pariah Dog Sanctuary and Trash Hero. I was proud to be on the founding board of Project Gen Z in Australia, where we travelled to Cambodia to teach entrepreneurial skills to young Cambodians from vulnerable communities. I have spent time in South Africa volunteering as a wildlife photographer and conservationist for Green Vision, and in 2023 I completed a Wildlife Conservation course with the aim to focus more of my efforts in this direction going forward.
I’m British by nationality but was born and raised in Hong Kong. Since then, I’ve spent several years living in both the UK and Australia, along with 12 years in Thailand. Now back in Australia, my partner and I—along with our three dogs—are embracing life on the road in our caravan as we explore this beautiful country.
